Ablasio Retina dan Pemeriksaan CT Scan Orbita pada Pasien Dewasa
Abstract
Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is an ophthalmological emergency characterized by the detachment of the neurosensory retina from the retinal pigment epithelium due to a retinal tear. This condition can lead to permanent vision loss if not treated promptly. This case report discusses a 46-year-old female patient, residing in Nagan Raya, a housewife, who presented to the Eye Clinic of Zainoel Abidin Regional Hospital complaining of sudden visual acuity loss accompanied by the appearance of black spots floating in the visual field and flashes of light in the right eye since one week prior to admission. The patient had no fever or cough. Physical examination revealed: compos mentis consciousness, no anemia, no cyanosis. Blood pressure: 120/80 mmHg, pulse: 84 beats/minute, regular, temperature: 36°C, respiratory rate: 20 breaths/minute. Orbital CT scan revealed a superior temporal and nasal retinal detachment accompanied by a horseshoe-shaped retinal tear. A chest X-ray revealed normal heart and lung findings. This report emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and prompt intervention to preserve visual function.
